Two men have been arrested for raping a 16-year-old girl in separate incidents in India.
According to the girl, she was rapéd by her friend's husband, Santosh, 42, when she went to their house on Monday. She said she was locked inside the house and séxually abused.
She managed to escape from that abuse and from the house, but on her way home,
she stopped the car of 25-year-old Jagadish who was passing by and who
offered to drop her at home. He then reportedly took her to a remote
area and rapéd her.
The family had filed a missing complaint with Belthangady police on Monday. When the family members and others were searching for the girl on Tuesday, they found Jagadish returning with her and assaulted him, police said.
