A wanted robbery suspect, Abiodun Ogunjobi, aka Abbey Godogodo, who was said to have been terrorising the South-West for some time, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
According to police authorities, the suspect led the gang that killed seven people, including the owner of 04 Hotel, Ajah, Lagos, Olanrewaju Subair, on July 7, 2013.
They also killed two other security guards at a popular hotel along Apapa Road, Ebute Meta area of the state on the same day.

Police Kill Kidnapper, Rescue Two Chinese

The Ogun State Police Command has rescued two Chinese nationals from kidnappers in Ogijo area of the state.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the victims, Sung Jiang She and Zhang Wen Xue, who are employees of Lee Group of Companies, were kidnapped at Odongunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State and taken to a house at Sagamu-Ikorodu Road.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, told PUNCH Metro on Tuesday that the police were able to trace the kidnappers to their hideouts and a gun duel

Former police informant, Ismaila Adetoro, who was arrested by the Inspector General of Police Special Task Force on Anti-Pipeline Vandalism, says he took to the crime because the money the police gave to him as an informant was too small.
PUNCH Metro learnt that Adetoro was arrested along three others, Oyedeji Salim, Tobi Olalekan, and Rauf Odeniyi in Sagamu, Ogun State.
He said, “I was a pipeline vandal few years back, but when I discovered the danger, I decided to stop. I volunteered to become a police informant on pipeline vandalism in Sagamu. In return, I was given stipends. But the truth is that I am a family man with so

Police kills Man In Ibadan Market

There was confusion at the Oje Market in Ibadan, Oyo State on Sunday when a ‘stray’ bullet allegedly from the police hit a civilian, Ojo Obisesan.
The victim reportedly died on the spot.
The killing, our correspondent gathered, took place when the Divisional Police Officer of Agugu Division, Timothy Adedeji (ASP), led a team of officers to quell a misunderstanding between some commercial transporters and hoodlums.

Hoodlums Attack Catholic Churches in Enugu

Palpable fear has gripped the entire parishioners of Catholic Diocese of Enugu following a midnight attack on St Leo The Great Catholic Church on Monday.

An unidentified group broke into the church and destroyed the altar, where the sacrifice of the Most Precious Body and Blood of Christ was being celebrated and venerated.
